  •  Providing impartial advice, analysis and guidance

The property market plays a key role in the global economy, comprising, in some countries, as much as 20% of the Gross National Product. With a resource this vital, businesses, governments and society need advice they can trust, and chartered surveyors are the professionals they look toward.

RICS members' services are diverse. Not only are members experts in all matters relating to property and construction, but they can also offer strategic advice on the economics, valuation, law, technology, finance and management of all the world's physical assets: from the construction of major public buildings to surveying the sea bed, from managing large property portfolios to auctioning antiques and much more.

About the MRICS designation

RICS members offer the very best advice, all around the world, on a surprisingly wide range of land, property and construction related issues.

Achieving a MRICS professional designation isn't easy, and RICS members are rightly proud of their accomplishments.

The RICS standard is seen as the benchmark for the surveying profession in the world. And, as such, ensures that members’ advice is held in highest regard.

Membership in RICS requires a minimum of 10 years' relevant postgraduate surveying experience and a relevant first degree or relevant professional membership, and a senior industry position.  In addition, members must be nominated by a national association or faculty.
